Revamping Outdoor Butterfly Decor

Originally my Grandfather handmade these butterflies as outdoor decor. He carved and painted the wood. Due to wear and tear the paint had chipped, so in order to keep them from rotting I decided to spruce them up.  I sanded them down to make the wood smooth again and make the paint easier to apply. I tried my best to find the exact colors he used, but eventually I mixed the paint I had to create the original colors. Once I finished I sealed them with a high gloss spray to prevent damage.

New Hair Color

For a couple of years I've been dying my own hair. I get very easily bored with having the same hair color for too long. With that being said changing your hair color can cause damage. I've been down the road of bleaching my hair and never quite loved the end result. With bleach there comes a lot of drying and maintenance to the hair. Until I figured there are other ways I could lift my natural hair color without bleach. I probably have done all the remedy's to lightening brunette hair. The lemon and peroxide mixture, head and shoulders shampoo. But, nothing seemed to work and then I thought to try hair dye. There are 10 levels in hair color depending on the color you're trying to achieve your either depositing color or lifting.

DIY: Jewelry Armoire

For a while now I've been into "do it yourself" projects. Especially old furniture and making it something new. Such as chairs, mirrors and my biggest project has been a jewelry armoire. I not only admired having a piece to store my jewelry, but I needed the extra storage. I happened to find a woman off craigslist who was moving, got her to mark down the price on a oak wood jewelry armoire for $80.
